Elegant wedding inspiration for romantic couples

Calling all romantics – this styled photoshoot will pull at your heartstrings. Showcasing a modern romance, with a focus on the unique love between a couple, this photoshoot styling oozes opulence and sophistication. This is elegant wedding inspiration at its finest!

The Venue
Set in the centre of Medieval Rye, The George In Rye is a sixteenth-century coaching inn that has been beautifully renovated. The original Georgian ballroom, complete with hand-painted Chinoiserie panelled walls, high ceilings and airy bay windows, was the perfect setting for the elegant wedding inspiration photoshoot.

Concept and Inspiration
The starting concept for this styled shoot was to showcase the love between a couple elegantly, with romantic styling. The theme was inspired by an autumnal colour palette that complemented the architecture and interiors of the sixteenth-century venue.
Textural floral arrangements were designed with a mix of green and dried foliage, fluffy David Austen Roses and autumnal berries, creating a luxurious orange and blush colour scheme. Table tops were adorned with blooms and tall candlesticks finished with velvet ribbon bows, giving height to flickering taper candles. Completing the tablescapes, pretty place settings were created with classic white plate chargers and elegant gold and white cutlery tied together with an emerald ribbon.
Adding to the opulent vibe, a Champagne tower created a sophisticated focal point and the perfect place to pose for fun photographs.

Dress to Impress
A predicted trend for weddings in 2024, is the bride stepping out in a micro wedding dress. The pretty mini dress featured a sweetheart neckline, feminine corsetry and a puff ball style skirt. The short hemline was paired with ivory slip-on kitten heels and elbow-length satin gloves. Completing the bridal look, a tiered veil with ruffle edging added a soft and romantic edge to the styling. The overall look brought together time-honoured wedding traditions with modern fashions.
The bride carried a huge bouquet with trailing ferns, orange orchids and roses arranged in a gathered-from-the-garden style.
The groom looked dashing in a traditional black tie suit, complete with a black bowtie and an orange orchid buttonhole.
