Vow Renewal's On The Rise

Do you want to do it all again..?
In a world where trends come and go like the passing seasons, there’s a timeless tradition that continues to gain momentum year after year: renewing wedding vows. Whether it’s celebrating a milestone anniversary, overcoming challenges together, or simply reaffirming the love and commitment shared, the act of renewing vows holds a special place in the hearts of couples around the globe.
While the concept of renewing wedding vows is not a new one, its popularity has surged in recent years, and for good reason. In an era where relationships are often tested by the demands of modern life, renewing vows offers a meaningful opportunity for couples to reconnect, reflect on their journey together, and strengthen their bond.

Our very own Pippa Florijn and her husband Chris have recently celebrated ten years of marriage, jetting back to the beautiful St James Club in Antigua, to renew their wedding vows, where they first said their ‘I Do’s’.
She says, “One of the most compelling aspects of renewing wedding vows is the opportunity to create a truly personalised and meaningful ceremony, without the pressures and expectations that often accompany your wedding. We loved going back to our very own paradise at St James Club Antigua. The team put together a really special, intimate event for our celebration, taking all the planning stress away! It was also really special for our daughter, Lily to be part of our vow renewal and to see her parents all loved up. The island of Antigua is the perfect spot for a lavish wedding or an intimate vow renewal. We know – we did both!”
Their wedding was set up on the beautiful white sand beach of Memora Bay, where they hosted 50 of their family and friends. Ten years on they were back at this cool Caribbean resort, but this time on the beautiful raised Spa deck, which looks out over the resort and the beach they first said “I Do”.
Wedding V’S Vow Renewal

The Wedding

Pippa wore a low-back, silk wedding dress by Suzanne Neville for her original wedding. She chose a simple sleek crepe gown with bow detail on the back, from the new Adore by Justin Alexander for the renewal, while Chris wore the same suit from his big day ten years ago from Stephen Bishop Suiting.
Ten years on…

Of course, renewing wedding vows is not without its challenges. Planning a ceremony, coordinating with family and friends, and navigating the emotional complexities of revisiting past promises can be daunting tasks. Yet, for many couples, the rewards far outweigh the challenges. In the end, it’s not about the grandeur of the ceremony or the extravagance of the celebration, but rather the opportunity to reaffirm the love and commitment shared.
As the trend of renewing wedding vows continues to gain momentum, it serves as a powerful reminder that love is a journey, not a destination. It’s a journey filled with ups and downs, twists and turns, but ultimately one that is worth embarking on together. So here’s to the couples who choose to renew their vows, may your love continue to grow and flourish with each passing year.
