Why you should preserve your wedding bouquet: everything you need to know

Flowers are one of the most important aspects of any wedding day, the visual impact they have on your wedding as a whole, and their beauty and sentimentality make them truly special, so it’s strange to think that after a few days, they’re gone forever.
Many brides are now choosing to preserve their wedding flowers, and there are more options than ever before to keep those precious flowers for longer.
We speak to the experts at Flori Culture Co. who specialise in preserving wedding flowers by hand, using a fully natural and sustainable method that champions a beautiful luxury look. They can then turn these into frames to display beautifully in your home.

What are the benefits of preserving your wedding flowers
- You get to have a beautiful lasting keepsake from your wedding day, and make the most of the incredible creations from your florist
- You’re literally saving flowers and money from going in the bin? What’s not to love about elongating the lifespan of fresh flowers
- Our methods are fully sustainable, your flowers will still biodegrade vs. preserving with something such as resin which is essentially making plastic that will end up in landfill in the distant future
- We only take a small deposit with the final balance not due until months after your wedding – meaning all you need to do is book!
- You can post your flowers to us from anywhere in the UK and we can deliver them back to you
Here are some of the most common questions our brides have…
Will my flowers look the same after they are finished?
We aim to maintain the beautiful form and shape of your flowers. You may find that the petals take on a slight papery or matt appearance after preservation and the colours may intensify and deepen in tone, we don’t colour treat or use harsh chemicals on your flowers.
How long does it take to preserve flowers?
Due to the intricate nature of our preservation work, it may take an average of 3-4 months to return your bouquet to you though it can be quicker. It is important it takes this long to ensure you get the best result. We will make sure to update you as soon as your order is ready.
Why is Flower Preservation Expensive?
Each of your flowers is individually preserved by hand over a span of up to 4 months, we take time to sustainably hand create all of our bespoke frames and believe this makes for a much more beautiful end result. We charge a fraction of the original cost of wedding flowers that would otherwise be going in the bin. We are proud to be offering a range of reasonably priced options in the market so that everyone can keep a small piece of their treasured memories and the meaning flowers hold.
