A stunning sage green wedding theme for Anna & James

Green has been one of the biggest wedding colour trends for 2024, and today we celebrate Anna & James with their stunning sage green wedding theme as they tell us their story.

Anna and James tell their love story…
How did you meet, and when?
We met in Watford on a night out, but we didn’t actually start talking until we matched on Tinder in November 2014, and the rest is history!
Tell us about the proposal – where, when, how?
On 23rd June 2021, we took our two dogs on a lodge cabin holiday to Sherwood Forrest. James asked me to marry him whilst we were sitting outside on the balcony playing cards and having a few drinks.
What was your budget? and did you stick to it?
We didn’t really have a set budget but in total we spent around £25,000.

How many wedding dresses did you try on before you found the one? I only went to Pure Couture and they were amazing, I tried on maybe eight dresses.
What made your one your ONE?
I didn’t want to take it off in the shop.
Was there a theme or colour scheme for your wedding?
Yes, the colour theme was Sage Green.
What did the bridesmaids wear? Why did you choose their outfits?
All my maids wore beautiful The La Closet de Channel multiway bridesmaid dresses in sage green.

What did your partner and groomsmen wear? Did you choose their outfit together or was it a surprise?
James and I went to Impeccable Suit Shop in Pinner and chose the suit together. Ties were supplied by La Closet de Chanel and colour-matched to the sage green bridesmaid dresses.

How did you decorate your venue?
Holly from Ambience Bath and Bristol did our venue styling, working with our sage green wedding theme.
What were your best decisions for the wedding?
All of our suppliers were absolutely amazing! And having our dogs there with us was wonderful.

What were your favourite moments?
James and I had a moment after the ceremony before the confetti arch.
What were the challenges of planning and organising the wedding?
Our suppliers were so amazing and made organising the wedding easy and the day ran smoothly! James and I live about 2 and a half hours away from the venue so heavily relied on social media to find our suppliers rather than by recommendation, which was initially a little stressful but worked out great in the end.

Any regrets? Anything you would have done differently, or included with hindsight?
No regrets at all wish we could do it all over again!
What advice do you have for other brides?
Just enjoy every minute because it goes so fast! And do exactly what you want for your day, don’t change your plans to suit others.
