Opening at the end of this month, the beautiful Grade II listed Manor House is from the 17th century, with history flowing through the walls having played a significant role in military history both as a training base for the Secret Service, and as the Officers Mess for the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
After checking into your luxury room, take a shuttle to the Nirvana Spa, the UK’s leading pure water retreat, for a day full of couples’ pampering and relaxation, a light lunch and a glass of bubbles in your gowns beside the pool.
After a day of relaxation and rejuvenation at the spa, unwind in your romantic Manor House Room that celebrates the manor’s rich heritage alongside contemporary comfort with a luxurious roll-top bath, its own unique style and character and beautiful views of the landscaped gardens and the picturesque countryside.
Indulge with a three-course set menu or a la carte at The Dining Room, the hotel’s International restaurant, or dine at The Glasshouse, a Victorian style glasshouse newly built on the site of the original estate greenhouse in the stunning setting of the beautifully replanted kitchen garden. Both restaurants will serve seasonal menus featuring locally sourced produce to create a relaxed dining experience that celebrates fresh, vibrant flavours.
After dinner, sip a digestif in The Devil’s Highway Bar, named after the historic Roman road that runs beneath the manor, finish your meal with a coffee in the sumptuous drawing room overlooking the lawns or unwind on the garden patio in the warmer months.
