His seventh studio album is called Marry Me, and after popping that as a question to long-term partner Amelia Tank over a year ago, Olly Murs married his sweetheart on the Essex island of Osea on the 15th of July. “I’m really excited to see how it all comes together, and I can’t wait to get married! It’s going to be weird,” he said a month before the big day.

Olly had already decided that he wouldn’t be singing on the day so as not to upstage his bride, and they already had their first dance sorted.

In the couple’s exclusive interview with HELLO! Magazine, Olly described how he couldn’t contain his emotions as he watched his wife-to-be walk towards the altar, which was perfectly framed by a show-stopping heart-shaped flower installation. “I was on the brink of crying at any moment,” he says. “When my nephews walked down the aisle, I was gone, then when Amelia came in – oh my God! My mum said she hasn’t seen me cry like that since I was four years old!”

Murs, who originally shot to fame as a finalist on ITV talent show The X Factor in 2009 first met his fiancée on Instagram in 2019. They officially ‘coupled up’ in 2020, and the Dance With Me Tonight hit-maker got down on one knee on a mini break in Cornwall last June followed by a shower of congratulations from his showbiz pals.
