Concept and Inspiration

Planning an elopement wedding by the seaside was the initial inspiration for this styled photoshoot. Pengersick Castle was the perfect location for a coastal wedding venue, offering direct access to the beach and a majestic castle setting. The beauty of nature paired with the grandeur of the historic castle combined to create a luxury coastal wedding theme.

The team worked with a sophisticated colour palette of natural hues, muted blues and soft greens to seamlessly intertwine with the castle setting and evoke a sense of tranquillity and luxury. The floral arrangements had a natural, gathered-from-the-garden style, with bright white blooms and plenty of textural foliage. Clay vases and jugs filled with a mixture of white flowers were paired with navy taper candles and a white table runner to create centrepieces on wooden trestle tables. Dark green crockery and glassware added colour to the tablescapes and each place setting was adorned with a hand-painted, iced biscuit favour atop a white muslin napkin.

The two-tier wedding cake was a work of art, hand-painted with a coastal scene and pretty blooms. The stationery suite, which included personalised printed vows, featured a soft blue watery design highlighted with pops of shimmering gold to add a luxe finish.
