Once upon a dream… A Fairytale Wedding Shoot

There’s something quite surreal and captivating about bringing fairytales to life… especially for a Wedding! This magical-styled fairytale wedding shoot features whimsical décor, a dreamy gown, a charming venue full of character and a rainbow of coloured florals.

The creators tell us an enchanting story which brings together every element of a magical celebration of love. Drawing on fantasies from classic stories of romance and enchantment, they envisioned a collection of images and film that captured all the elements of the most romantic fairytale wedding.

In a world where wishes come true and happily ever after is a reality… this is how they bought it all together.

The Venue

St Audries Park exudes country grandeur and offers all the charm you would expect from a beautiful country manor wedding venue, nestled at the base of the Quantock hills alongside one of Somerset’s most spectacular coastlines. Enhanced by serene scenery, with luxurious décor, it was the perfect backdrop for our fairytale wedding vision.

Decor and Styling

Working with a colour palette of pastel hues of pink, blue, lilac and peach with timeless and elegant touches of gold created an air of romance and sophistication throughout every detail of décor and styling. Using delicate chiffon created a soft texture for the tables, while mixing coloured glassware, candles, napkins and flowers brought the romantic look together.

Cake

A show-stopping, whimsical fairytale wedding cake perfectly complemented the theme of this shoot. Four tiers high, it featured the most delicate seasonal sugar clematis flowers, climbing and weaving delicately over the palest pink base. Holly then used the tiniest elements of baby blue, iridescent pearl, gold leaf and floral detailing to add further intricacy, texture and added depth to the design.

Hair

A romantic, elegant yet creative hair design was crafted featuring soft, textured volume and barely there waves and curls. Based on a contemporary take on a timeless soft French pleat and meticulously created to perfectly complement the romance and glamour of the stunning palest blue ruffled tulle Millia London dress

Makeup

Using expert precision, our makeup artist created a soft, glamorous yet subtle makeup look to radiate classic, timeless bridal beauty. Using neutral smokey brown tones from Natasha Denona to define and accentuate the eyes which worked perfectly with the perfect pinky nude lip from Charlotte Tilbury.

Glowing skin with a hint of blush… the finished look beautifully captured the overall aesthetic of the shoot

Fashion

No fairytale wedding would be complete without the perfect bridal ensemble. Our bride wore a stunning pale blue tulle gown, with plunge neckline and silk blossom details at the waist and shoulders. Our groom was equally dashing in a tailored suit, adding a touch of princely charm to the affair.

Shoes

Rainbow Club provided the perfect shoes. Made from exclusive satin – we chose their ‘Eve’ design, a beautiful block-heeled strappy design, expertly hand-dyed in the shade ‘lilac’. For an alternative look, we chose classicly styled ‘Morgan’ dyed in the softest sherbert lemon shade.

Car

‘Coco’ the powder blue Nissan Figaro, was more than just the perfect car -she was the epitome of our fairytale vision. With her vintage-inspired design, nostalgic charm, and timeless elegance, she brought an extra touch of colour and magic to our shoot… the perfect ending to whisk our couple away in style!

The photographers and videographer beautifully captured the essence of this timeless love story in every detail of the shoot, giving the most beautiful images and memories of a fairytale wedding romance.
